Your New Summer Foundation: Maybelline Superstay Skin Tint

Here’s our new summer foundation best friend: 

Incredibly lightweight 

We hate to say this, but when it comes to summer makeup, lighter is always going to be better. There’s a few reasons for this: full-coverage foundations tend to migrate and pill despite best efforts. Sweat, heat, and humidity make it difficult to keep a flawless, heavy base for long - and if you’ve doubled up on your skincare to try and keep your skin glowing despite air conditioning and sunlight, then we know you know how hard it is to find a foundation that’ll wear over your favourite sunscreen without giving you that dreaded pill effect. 

The trick to a flawless base in summer is easy: lightweight foundations, layered often. 

The Maybelline Superstay Skin Tint has a beautiful, watery feel that dries down to a velvety, glowy semi-matte finish. 

Moisturising

If you’re like us, you go nowhere without your Makeup Revolution gym bottle, but no matter how much water you drink, your skin can always use more moisture - especially if you’re spending all your time indoors underneath the air conditioning or outside in the summer sun. While this can’t double as a moisturiser on its own, it has moisturising properties that’ll soften and keep your skin looking supple and lovely - and more importantly, won’t stick to the drier areas of your face and give you that snakeskin look that’s so not in right now. 

Coverage

‘Lightweight’ and ‘coverage’ don’t tend to go hand in hand, and then there’s this. While we won’t promise it’ll give you mega coverage, a single layer of the Maybelline Superstay Skin Tint is enough to even out your complexion, give you a subtle glow, and make your skin look like it belongs on the cover of a brand new skincare brand. Want a little bit of coverage? You can layer this foundation up to a medium coverage, but if you’re looking for something that’s fuller, dab on a little concealer only where you need it for the best of both worlds. 

No need for a makeup brush

Part of the worst thing about wearing foundation every day is having to wash your brushes, are we right or are we right? Well, the Maybelline Superstay Skin Tint doesn’t need brushes or sponges: you apply it with your hands, like skincare, and a little bit goes a long way. Just dab a little bit on and press it in the same way you’d do with a serum or a moisturiser, and you’re all ready to go!
