Hey LUCY lovers!
We don’t know about you but nail care is one of the ultimate forms of soft self care for us, and spring is when our nails need it the most. After a long winter of festive reds, deep jewel shades, and a cascade of glitter, going back to basics with something simple and cute is so cathartic. Here’s ten super-cute nail looks to get yourself ready for spring (psst! if you don’t have time, why not book a nail day for yourself at our store?)
Subtler than glitter, and more eye-catching than a simple creme, holographic polish is the ultimate pick-me-up for your nails, and such a gorgeous way to welcome the longer days! Our favourite way to wear it is as a background colour, accented with some cute nail art to bring out the holographic aspect.
Not great at putting nail art on yourself, and just need a quick little pick-me-up for your existing manicure? Nail stickers are amazing for this: all you do is cut out the shape you need, place it on your nail, and seal it in place with a good top-coat - instant glam, in less than a few seconds.
Red is usually reserved for Christmas, but we’ve been spotting it popping up on the hands of models, celebrities, and fashionistas alike, and we have to say: it’s incredible. Red nails look good on every kind of nail shape and every skintone, so no wonder it’s the Hollywood darling of the moment. You can go a little avant-garde and add in a half moon or a French tip, but we prefer just all-over red for maximum pop.
Sheer is forever a statement - from eyeshadows with translucent base to a glossy lip, the shinier it is, the better, and that goes triple for nails. Pair a thin, neutral creme in beige or cream with a super-glossy topcoat, and let your nails breathe. This is a simple look, but super effective for anyone who wants to look put-together but doesn’t know where to get started with colours.
Want to make a bigger statement? Drip a little gold, bronze, or silver on your nails, whether as a tiny accent or as a full colour. Our tip: use both and mix-and-match your nails so that no two fingers are alike.
Jelly polish, or subtle translucent finishes, are some of the most flattering nail looks anyone can pull off, and they’re especially beautiful when there’s a little bit of added microglitter, whether it’s part of the polish or as an additional topcoat. This one is the ultimate in understated, but it’s such a beautiful look for those who like their nails toned down.

It’s never gone out of fashion, but animal print is on the comeback, and there’s a few ways that you can pull this off - our favourite is as an accent nail, leaving the rest of your claws matte so that you get the best of both worlds.
Pastel yellow is usually a springtime go-to, but this year it’s getting an electric buzz with artists and designers alike reaching for the most in-your-face yellow around. It’s bold, its’s beautiful, and it’s a moment of brightness after the winter dim.

With Pantone designating their colour of the year as Peach Fuzz, no wonder this one has taken over the runways - and it’s neutral enough that it can go with any kind of design you imagine.
The Barbie movie might have long stopped circulating, but the hold it has on us is going nowhere - which is why bright Barbie pink nails are all the rage in 2024.
